The Humanities and Social Sciences Speaker Series is a forum where graduate students from across the Humanities and Social Sciences at Rice University can showcase their ongoing research. By answering the question, “What is your contribution?” in the form of a dynamic seven-minute presentation, participants will be able to contemplate and discuss the significance of their research, improve their public speaking skills, and network with other researchers whose work they would not normally be exposed to.

We welcome proposals from Rice University graduate students in the Humanities and Social Sciences at all levels and encourage attendees to RSVP above. Please keep an eye on this website for further updates.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Speaker Series will take place in the Kyle Morrow Room in Rice University’s Fondren Library on April 15 and 16, 2016
